TWO AWARDS FOR OPTIMUM PUBLIC RELATIONS


Montréal, May 13, 2010 - OPTIMUM Public Relations, part of PEOPLE FROM CSSETTE, won two awards at the prestigious Concours des Prix d’Excellence 2010 last night, an initiative of the Société québécoise des professionnels en relations publiques (SQPRP).

OPTIMUM won the Platinum Award in the category of Tactical Excellence, Electronic and Interactive Communications for the social media component of Democracy 2.0: Mobilizing young people on the Web for the municipal elections 2009, a campaign for the Chief Electoral Officer of Québec. In order to reach the target audience, OPTIMUM deployed a strategy using YouTube and targeted influential Québec bloggers in order to generate a viral effect.

OPTIMUM Public Relations was also recognized in the category of Strategic Excellence for an External Public Relations Program, winning the Silver Award for its campaign ENERGY WISE Home Diagnostic for Hydro-Québec. OPTIMUM developed a series of media activities across the entire province, which spread awareness, generated buzz and increased participation in the Home Diagnostic program.
