CASACOM strengthens its Senior Management Team Carolyn Ray and Annick Bélanger become Partners

Marie-Josée Gagnon, President and Founder of independent communications consulting firm CASACOM, is pleased to announce that Carolyn Ray and Annick Bélanger have become partners of the firm. Respectively acting as Managing Partners of the Toronto and Montreal offices, they become the first shareholders at CASACOM after the Founder.

Carolyn Ray has led the Toronto office since its inception in September 2011. Recognized for her innovative perspective, Carolyn applies her expertise, enthusiasm and energy to help clients add value to their business through insights, influence and measurable impact.

With over 16 years’ experience in the public sector and a degree in political science from UQAM, Annick Bélanger has been part of the CASACOM team since 2006 and has led the Montreal office since 2011. Two Awards of Excellence and the Prestigious Award of Distinction in Consultation for Citizen Optimum

Montreal, June 1, 2012 — Citizen Optimum won two Awards of Excellence at the SQPRP (Société québécoise des professionels en relations publiques) Excellence Awards Gala held last night at the Palais des congrès in Montreal. Several hundred communications and public relations professionals came together for this special occasion to honour the excellent work of their colleagues, showcasing the best and brightest in the industry.

Citizen Optimum had a very successful evening and the first project they won a prize for was “The New SHDM: Maintaining its Reputation by Focusing on Internal and External Communications,” which took home the Gold Award of Excellence in the category of Strategic Excellence – Overall Public Relations Program. Citizen Optimum’s mandate for this project was to build and implement an internal and external strategic communications plan, carried out over a three-year period, with the goal of helping the SHDM reach their triennial strategic plan objectives.

Citizen Optimum also won the Silver Award of Excellence in the category of Tactical Excellence – Electronic and Interactive Communications for the “Live the 2.0 Rio Tinto Experience – Recruitment Campaign.” For this project, Citizen Optimum developed and executed a national recruitment campaign for Rio Tinto with social media playing a major role in terms of connecting recruiters and potential candidates.

Josette Massy-Forget Honoured by Société québécoise des professionnels en relations publiques and Massy Forget Langlois Public Relations Rewarded in Two Categories

Michel Dumas, premier récipiendaire du prix « Distinction en consultation ACRPQ » (french only)

CASACOM reçoit Jason Baer, auteur de The Now Revolution

Montréal, le 28 avril 2011 – C’est à Michel Dumas que sera remis le tout premier prix « Distinction en consultation ACRPQ » lors de la soirée des Prix excellence de la Société québécoise des professionnels en relations publiques (SQPRP) le 26 mai 2011 à Montréal. Création de l’Alliance des cabinets en relations publiques du Québec (ACRPQ), ce nouveau prix souligne la carrière exceptionnelle d’un(e) consultant(e) professionnel(le) en relations publiques.

Présentement professeur associé au département de communication sociale et publique de l’UQAM, Michel Dumas a eu une carrière exceptionnelle comme consultant en relations publiques, et ce, pendant de plus de 30 ans. Il a cofondé le cabinet BDDS en 1980 dont il a assumé la présidence pendant de nombreuses années. Il a aussi été le président international de Worldcom, le plus grand réseau de cabinets privés en relations publiques au monde.

Il a grandement contribué à l’avancement de la profession en participant à la mise sur pied de programmes universitaires en relations publiques, en plus d’avoir dirigé le programme du Centre de formation des HEC et enseigné à l’Université Laval et à l’Université de Montréal. Il a aussi été le premier président de l’Association des relationnistes du Québec. Il est l’auteur de publications en relations publiques, la plus récente étant « Les relations publiques, une profession en devenir », publiée aux Presses de l’Université du Québec.

Montréal, le 5 février 2009 – C’est aujourd’hui que l’Alliance des cabinets de relations publiques du Québec (ACRPQ) célèbre ses 10 ans d’existence et présente son nouveau site Web à www.acrpq.com.

Depuis une décennie, l’Alliance contribue à promouvoir le secteur de la consultation en relations publiques, une discipline en forte croissance et affichant des normes de qualité des plus élevées. Pour assurer cette excellence, la Chaire en relations publiques et communication marketing de l’UQAM a développé l’accréditation A+, une norme d’accréditation de qualité à laquelle sont obligatoirement soumis les cabinets membres de l’ACRPQ.

« Nous sommes fiers d’avoir relevé de si nombreux défis reliés à notre industrie au cours des dix dernières années.
